Xperto Hypothèques Inc. (hereinafter “we” or “our“) is committed to ensuring the confidentiality and security of your personal information. If you do not accept the terms and conditions of this Policy, or if you do not have the capacity or authority to do so, please do not install the Application, browse the Site, or otherwise access or use the Services.

In order to provide you with the Services, we may be required to ask for sensitive information, such as financial information (your income, assets, and liabilities) or information from your employer (for example, a statement of employment). We may also ask for your Social Insurance Number (SIN) for the purpose of transmitting your information to a credit reporting agency to perform a credit analysis. The SIN is the best way to ensure that the information we receive from credit reporting agencies actually pertains to you. By providing us with your SIN, you help us process your request efficiently and quickly.

    • Automatically Collected Information

Like most modern websites and mobile applications, the Site and the Application use cookies to record user browsing activities, such as pages visited, or technical information such as the web browser and operating system used to visit the Site or use the Application. The use of cookies and similar tracking technologies allows us to improve the performance of the Site or the Application, retain your preferences or settings, provide you with an optimal experience on the Site or the Application, personalize the Services, and, in accordance with applicable laws, send you advertising based on your interests.

A cookie is an online alphanumeric identifier that is installed on your computer, tablet, or mobile device (a “Device“) when you use the Site or the Application.

By browsing the Site or using the Application, your browsing information may be transmitted directly to the relevant social media platform without your direct interaction, solely due to the presence of buttons on the Site and the Application.     • Information About Others

As mentioned in the Terms of Use, your account is intended for your use, and there is no transfer of information between accounts, even when two accounts are used in the same transaction. Therefore, if you wish to acquire a property jointly with another person, each will need to upload documents to the other’s account, as documents uploaded to one account are not accessible to the other person. YOU MUST ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE THE REQUIRED CONSENT FROM YOUR CO-PURCHASER BEFORE PROVIDING US WITH THEIR PERSONAL INFORMATION.

    • Children’s Personal Information

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our Services. If you are a minor under the applicable laws of your place of residence, please refrain from submitting personal information to us without the express consent of a parent or guardian.

  • How do we use the information?

We take measures to ensure that access to your personal information is limited to employees who need it in the performance of their duties. We may use your personal information to:

we may disclose your personal information to law enforcement agencies and government and administrative entities if required by law or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable laws, to comply with a court order, subpoena, or government search warrant that appears legitimate, or to otherwise cooperate with law enforcement agencies and government and administrative entities;

  • social networks or other service providers

we may transmit your personal information to social networks and other service providers to use their marketing tools for targeted marketing and lookalike marketing. For example, we may use Facebook’s Custom Audiences to match people on our customer list with people on Facebook. This allows us to target our advertisements on Facebook to an audience created by Facebook through the Custom Audiences tool.

Please note that once we have disclosed your personal information to a third party, it may be subject to that third party’s privacy practices. Please note that we make reasonable commercial efforts to ensure that your personal information is used by third parties in a manner consistent with this Policy.

  • Storage of Your Personal Information

Your personal information will be collected in Canada and stored on servers in Canada, but it may be disclosed to third parties established in other countries and stored and/or otherwise processed by them. For example, some of the service providers that process or handle personal information on our behalf are established outside Canada. Information stored in your account profile can be accessed on our Site or the Application and, if necessary, you can correct it yourself.

For any other privacy-related requests, you can contact us by email using the contact information provided in the “Contact Person” clause of this Policy. Depending on the nature of your request, reasonable fees may need to be paid before we transcribe, reproduce, or transmit your personal information.

We are committed to complying with Canada’s anti-spam legislation, as it may be amended from time to time, and all other applicable rules and regulations under or related to Canada’s anti-spam legislation.

Commercial Electronic Messages (CEMs)
All commercial electronic messages that encourage participation in a commercial activity (CEMs) sent to you by us will comply with the requirements of Canada’s anti-spam law, including, without limitation: Identification of the sender and sender’s contact information;
Any unsubscribe mechanism;
Processing requests to no longer receive CEMs;
and Ensuring that any CEM you receive from us includes a descriptive subject line consistent with the purpose of our contact.

Third Parties
We do not knowingly do business with any company that participates in sending spam. Modifications to this Anti-Spam Policy We may modify this policy at any time by publishing a new version on this website.
